Forward-Deployed Engineering

Our engineers sit with your team until it runs in production.

Forward-Deployed Engineering is how SandRock delivers AI that survives contact with a real organisation. We embed a small pod — an FDE lead, platform engineers, and an Arabic data specialist when the work needs one — inside your team. They work in your systems, inside your security perimeter, and ship on the SandRock stack rather than starting from an empty repository. The engagement is managed rather than staffed: a named lead, a fixed cadence, and a shared backlog you can see and reprioritise, with the option to hand operations to our managed service once the system is live.

Scope and deliverables.

A SandRock pod embedded in your organisation — scoping, building, and operating AI systems on Nexus, Fortius, and Altius alongside your own engineers.

An embedded pod, not a ticket queue

A named FDE lead and platform engineers working inside your team’s tools, standups, and security perimeter — not a vendor you file requests with.

You receive

  • Named FDE lead and pod roster
  • Weekly cadence inside your own tooling
  • Shared backlog you can see and reprioritise

First workflow live in weeks

We take one real workflow all the way to production before widening scope, so value is proven on your data before the programme grows.

You receive

  • One scoped, owner-backed first workflow
  • Production deployment of use case one
  • Measured result against the manual baseline

Built on components already in production

Agents, connectors, approvals, and labelling come from Nexus, Fortius, and Altius, so the pod writes only what is specific to you.

You receive

  • Solution design on the SandRock stack
  • Custom connectors and tools for your systems
  • Source and IP for everything written for you

Hand over, or keep us running it

Your engineers pair with the pod throughout and can take ownership at any point — or move the system onto our managed operations line.

You receive

  • Runbooks and architecture documentation
  • Pairing and enablement for your engineers
  • Managed-operations transition plan

How the engagement runs.

Every stage produces something you can act on before the next one starts.

  1. Pick one workflow worth automating, with the team that owns it
  2. Embed the pod in your tooling, environments, and security perimeter
  3. Ship use case one to production on Nexus, Fortius, and Altius
  4. Measure it against the manual baseline before widening scope
  5. Widen to the next workflows on the same platform and cadence
  6. Hand over to your engineers, or move to managed operations
